Building a legacy....

In 1957, Olander Banks Sr. & Margaret Lomax Banks purchased a 10-acre gravel lot located at 7400 Old Telegraph Road. Following Margaret's encouragement, Olander built a 27-room home, where together, they raised their 9 children, hosted special events for relatives, friends, and community members; all while running a Banks Auto Parts, a successful auto-recycling business.

"A place for all to enjoy."

The Olander and Margaret Banks Park symbolizes the hope and faith shared by the Banks family.  The public park now serves as an open space for the Fairfax County community.
